Matt was born into a small family as the first born from his mother. Unfortunately, Matt's mother died shortly after his birth and his father, without proper time to care for him, gave him up. Matt lived with an elderly man and his son until one fateful day, a messenger came from the castle into the village. This man was looking for a child. A child of young age and one that could easily resemble the Lord and Lady as they could not produce an heir of their own. Thus, Matt was found. Though, the Lord and Lady were not in search of a male heir. They wanted a daughter.
This began Matt's teachings of a young lady. His name was changed to the more feminine sounding Mail and there was no turning back. He had no choice in the matter. From the moment Mail could even realize what was happening around him fully he was placed in dresses and bows were placed in his hair. Supposedly the Lady's pregnancy had been kept secret from those who resided beneath them and when Mail reached one year of age, he was presented to the kingdom as the newest member of the royal family. The Eldest child and Princess of the kingdom.
Mail managed to keep up this facade for long enough. His hair grew to a reasonable length and he carried out the typical duties that any other young princess would have. Though, once Mail reached the age where he would typically transcend from boy to man, this didn't happen. People were brought in to teach him the proper way of speaking to hide his changing voice and he was retrained in nearly everything to allow him to perfect his movements with the added and quickly gained height.
When Mail reached the age of twelve, he recieved news that he was arranged to marry the Prince of a neighboring kingdom. This was the sole reason for a daughter being raised. It was all arranged while Prince Mihael was six and before Mail had even been born. The two began meeting every summer, each taking turns to spend time in each of the castles. Mail's true nature was known and while Mail originally planned to be rejected, the blonde Prince thought nothing of the sort. They got along fine and Mail was content with going along with whatever Mihael could think up for them to do. Within four years they were wed and Mail left his Kingdom to stay with Mihael permenantly. It was two years before something seemingly terrible happened.
Mail was taken to 'the room'. There he found people who accepted him. He found new allies and eventually grew quite fond of certain ones moreso than others. Though, this was all cut short when 'the room' decided that it would send him back. Transformed from the Princess he once was into the young man he had allowed to finally come out.
Mihael was furious and arrangements were made and Mail was returned to his former state within weeks. It was as if that part of himself had come unplugged and needed to only be reinserted. The fake smiles returned and a wig was produced to give him the long hair he had before his ordeal. He never spoke of what had happened and Mihael didn't pry too much. Mail was thankful for that.
Life seemed to be completely normal for Mail. He let his hair grow out, trimming only what had to for it to be kept healthy. He readjusted to the shoes and dresses he wore. He grew accustomed to castle life and making himself to be the quaint young bride people expected to see. It was a little over a year before while out on another ride the same thing happened again. Mail was once again returned to 'the room'.
